Our story
Far Finds plans trips around the things worth finding, then sorts every detail so the only thing left for you is to say yes.
Why this exists
Every package we looked at solved for coverage. Eleven cities in nine days, a crowd behind a flag, and a list of things you can say you have seen. What stays with you is smaller and harder to find: the unnamed road, the untranslatable meal, the place that doesn't photograph well but changes something in you anyway.
So we build trips around those. The well-known places are still in there; they are the background, not the point. You travel with your own people, start on a date that suits you, and keep room to change the day once you are there.
We do the finding and work out every messy detail: the transfers, the permits, the guide where one is needed, the fallback when the weather turns. What is left for you is the good part.
Who plans your trip
Short bio to be supplied. Worth covering: where you have travelled most, the trip that changed how you plan, and what you are unreasonably particular about.
Short bio to be supplied. Worth covering: what you handle once a trip is live, and the thing you have fixed at short notice that a traveller never found out about.
Names, portraits and bios are placeholders. Send them over and they go straight in.
How we build a trip
Every trip goes through these before it reaches the site. The order matters: most operators start with the hotels, which is why their trips all look the same.
Before a route exists, we decide what the trip is for: the meal, the road, the hour that makes it worth going. The famous sights fit in around those, not the other way round.
How many nights before you move, and how much of each day stays open. This gets decided early because everything after it depends on it.
We pick the few things that have to happen, then build the days so they land well, rather than threading a list of stops together and hoping.
Seasons, closures, weather fallbacks, and the transfers that look fine on paper and take five hours in practice. A guide goes wherever one is actually needed.
A hotel is a location decision before it is a comfort decision. We would rather put you somewhere plain in the right place than somewhere lovely forty minutes out.
Every trip keeps room to bend: your own start date, and activities you can swap within a place. Anything that needs a guide or booking ahead gets sorted while you plan.
Ready when you are
A country and a couple of interests is enough. We call, then send you a plan and a few Finds, whether or not you book.
